Public meeting over incinerator costs

by isleofman.com 14th April 2015

Residents of Marown are being urged to attend a public meeting tonight (Tuesday) over potential changes to rubbish collection.

Marown Commissioners say they expect to spend ?64,000 to have waste incinerated over the next year and that this will rise to ?117,000 by 2018. The local authority is asking residents whether it's time to pilot fortnightly kerbside collections for recycling and fortnightly collections from wheelie bins.

There will be a presentation from Zero Waste Mann. The meeting is at Marown School and starts at 7pm.
