The Insurance Institute of the Isle of Man is the local branch of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) & also includes members of the Personal Finance Society (PFS). They act as the educational representative body for all insurance and financial services professionals on the island.
As the leading professional body for the global financial services profession, the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) exists to promote higher standards of integrity, technical competence and business capability. With over 112,000 members in more than 150 countries, the CII is the world's largest professional body dedicated to insurance and financial services.
Following the AGM, the Hon. Eddie Teare MHK will deliver a presentation on the Isle of Man as an International Finance Centre and he will also provide an update on the regulation of financial services on the island. Tynwald have recently authorised the creation of the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority which will be the single regulator of all financial services when the existing Financial Supervision Commission and the Insurance & Pensions Authority are merged to create the new independent body.
The event is free to CII/PFS members and there is a charge of ?10 for non-members.
