Residents in Peel say roads in the Sunset City have been covered in sludge from harbour dredging operations.
The work to clear silt from the harbour has caused huge debate in recent weeks, after the Department of Infrastructure said it would dump the waste in a specially-prepared site near Poortown Quarry.
The work got underway this morning, taking many people by surprise as the department has to get planning permission or give 21 days notice before it can dump the contaminated sludge at the site.
