by isleofman.com 10th April 2015
The Steam Packet has confirmed that the Manannan will resume her scheduled service tomorrow morning (Sat)
She'll set sail for Liverpool at 7.30am.
The fast craft has been out of action since last weekend after her engines ingested debris during a crossing.
Extensive repairs - costing in the region of ?100,000 - were eventually completed earlier today (Friday) and the vessel successfully completed berthing trials and a short sea trial in Douglas Bay.
Steam Packet Chief Executive Mark Woodward described the damage as the worst he's seen to one of their vessels and has thanked customers for their patience during what he describes as a "difficult period".
He's also paid tribute to the company's engineers and divers who he says have worked tirelessly to return the Manannan to service as quickly as possible.
