Local songwriter’s new album ‘Diamonds In Your Tree’ shining brightly

by isleofman.com 8th April 2015

After years of honing his brand of indie-folk, Monday 6th April saw the release of Chris Gray’s new album ‘Diamonds In Your Tree’. Gray recently played a live session on Robert Elms’ BBC London Show to over 400,000 listeners and the album has received airplay on Dermot O’Leary’s BBC Radio 2 Show.

Album tracks have received air time nationwide with single ‘She Loves The Morning’ featuring on BBC Newcastle, BBC-Tees and Radio 2XS. Gray has also had some fantastic reviews in April’s issues of Acoustic Magazine and R2 Magazine.

Fatea Magazine commented:

“Chris Gray has clearly got some chops. On the evidence of this first album, he’s got some damned fine songs as well…if you want to wrap your ears around some quality song writing that will lift your heart as well as your eyebrows, you could do far worse than seek out this album.”

Speaking about the album, Chris said:

“I tend to write songs about people and situations in my life, living on this beautiful Island certainly inspires my writing. There are 11 songs on this album, each with a unique sound so it serves as a good introduction to my entire song writing spectrum.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting out and playing the new songs live” and on Saturday 11th April, he will be performing an acoustic set in-store at HMV (Strand Shopping Centre) between 12-2PM, then later that night he will be performing with his band at Amber Bar from 8pm as part of the album launch celebrations.

Copies of the album will be available at both performances or by visiting iTunes, Amazon and Bandcamp. For more information about Chris and his music please visit www.chrisgraymusic.com or Facebook/chrisgraymusic.
