Legends from the silver screen was the theme for a gala fundraising dinner hosted by Douglas Mayor and Mayoress Stan and Sheila Cain held at the Empress Hotel.

The occasion marked the closing weeks of Councillor Cain’s year in office as mayor and was in aid of the mayoral charity appeal which, by the end of the evening, would benefit from more than ?2000 raised.
