by isleofman.com 7th April 2015

The Isle of Man Archery Club is pleased to announce the Squad for the Island Games in Jersey 2015 which was finalised this weekend. The squad will consist of teams in each of the two disciplines, together with a Team Manager and an Assistant Team Manager. There will be a good range of archers including several newcomers to the Island Games providing a mix of both youth and experience.

The Recurve Team consists of the Island’s top recurve lady archer, Karen Lott who has been working towards this competition for two years now and she will be accompanied by Ethan Moore (who is currently living and working in the UK) and Danny Cowin. None of these archers have competed at previous Island Games

The Compound Team is made up of GB Junior Squad archers Aalin and Kirsten George alongside Billy Lightfoot, Dave Moore and Peter Mumford. This constitutes a formidable mixed Compound Team.

The Teams will be under the watchful eye of Alison Cowin who was the Archery Team Manager in both Aland and the Isle of Wight. Alison will be assisted by former Games competitor Joy Gough as Assistant Team Manager. As the team includes a junior archer, Sarah Rigby will also travel with the team as chaperone.
