Police warn cyclists after incidents

by isleofman.com 4th April 2015
Police are warning cyclists about their behaviour on the Island’s roads after a number of complaints earlier this week.

Officers say they received a number of calls from the public on Thursday about a group of cyclists who weren’t wearing reflective gear in a misty area - and in the south of the Island a group of cyclists swore at a group of 12 year old horseriders.

No formal complaints have been made, but officers say it’s only a minority of cyclists who cause a problem.

Police reminding those on two wheels that they are bound by the rules of the road – and should stick to speed limits and obey traffic signs as well as give proper courtesy to other road users.
