The Isle of Man Post Office have now confirmed that they received one proposals which will now go to their Board for evaluation.

They advised they also received a submission from the Communications Workers Union (CWU) asking for a further 6 month delay to allow discussions to take place which the Post Office have confirmed they will consider but have expressed an opinion that a delay would not be of benefit to the business, their staff or customers.

Of the 19 staff who would be affected by the proposed conversion it was confirmed that 10, have applied for, and accepted alternative positions within the Isle of Man Post Office, however, they did state that with a further delay it may be difficult to guarantee these positions remaining available.
