Yesterday morning, 1st April, saw the welcome return of flights to and from Blackpool.
The route has beeng reinstated following the sudden closure of Blackpool Airport last October.
Managing Director at Citywing, David Buck, said: ‘We have worked tirelessly alongside the owners of Blackpool Airport owners to ensure that this commercial route returned, and we are delighted to mark the first day of this reinstated service today.
‘We are so pleased to once again be able to offer this vital route to our customers and, with 14 return journeys each week to choose from, our passengers can enjoy a cheap and frequent service between the Isle of Man and North-West England.
‘There is so much to see and do in Blackpool throughout the year. It is also a gateway to the North West and the very popular Lake District, Yorkshire and Cumbria areas. The Island will benefit hugely from this additional North West route as we welcome thousands of visitors from these regions every year.'
Flights can be booked online at www.citywing.com.
