Cook swaps Island for Moldova

by isleofman.com 1st April 2015
Taekwondo Champion Aaron Cook will no longer represent the Isle of Man.
He has taken-up Moldovan citizenship and intends to fight for them at the Olympic Games in Rio next year.
His programme will be funded by a Moldovan billionaire.
Cook has fought under the Manx flag since early 2013 after being overlooked by Great Britain for the 2012 London Olympics.
The British Olympic Association is understood to be investigating whether having competed for the Isle of Man would make blocking the move possible.
