Douglas Council has chosen a councillor to be the next mayor in the Island's capital.
Mrs Sara Hackman has been a councillor for seven years and was nominated for the post at a private meeting last week.
Environment, recycling and a sense of community are areas of which Mrs Hackman says she is passionate about.
Mrs Hackman says in the year ahead she wants to "be a good ambassador not only for Douglas but for the Island, promoting what an excellent and beautiful place Douglas is to live and work in".
The post is for the upcoming municipal year, ending in May 2016.
