Isle of Man Archery Club Report - 29th March

by isleofman.com 31st March 2015
The final shoot of the Indoor Season took place at Onchan on Sunday. It was a Portsmouth round shot as part of the Club’s Scratch league. Numbers were a little on the low side probably due to half-term.

Pete Mumford and Colin Moore faced off once again in the Gents Compound with Pete, as usual coming out on top.

Joy Gough was on her own yet again in the Ladies Compound division but put in a solid score.

The Gents Recurve saw Josh Trafford and guest archer Thomas Bott go head to head. Josh romped home the victor by a clear 43 point margin.

The Junior Gents Recurve saw Joseph Reaney well on form ahead of the Outdoor Season, adding 22 points to his personal best for the round. James Hill was not up to his usual standard unfortunately and finished well off the pace.

Karen Lott rounded off an excellent Indoor season by equalling the Club record for the Double Portsmouth.

Results Portsmouth: Gents Compound – 1. Pete Mumford 60/560/20, 2. Colin Moore 60/557/18. Ladies Compound – Joy Gough 60/545/11. Gents Recurve – 1. Josh Trafford 60/542/19, 2. Thomas Bott 60/499/11. Ladies Recurve – Karen Lott 60/567/29. Junior Gents Recurve – 1. Joseph Reaney 59/463/12pb, 2. James Hill 60/370/1.

The Club move Outdoors from April 2nd so members need to dig out the waterproofs and the insect repellent.
