The Department of Economic Development has announced a reshuffle following the retirement of Alan Crowe MLC.
Michael MHK Alf Cannan joins the DED, taking over responsibility for e-business - including egaming and ICT - as well as the department’s support schemes for local companies - including Small Business Start Up, Financial Assistance, Business Support, Investors in People and the STEP undergraduate placement scheme.
Meanwhile, Ramsey MHK Leonard Singer takes over departmental responsibilities from Mr Crowe, including financial and professional services, the Island’s high net worth strategy, the space sector and companies, and ship and aircraft registries.
Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly says he's looking forward to working with his new team.
