Douglas Borough Council have announced that Councillor Sara Hackman has been selected as the new Mayor of Douglas.
Mrs Hackman will take over the role from current Mayor Stan Cain it was agreed at a special private meeting of the Council held on Friday, 27th March, 2015.
Councillor Hackman signified her intention to accept the office and if confirmed at the Annual Council Meeting on Wednesday, 13th May, 2015 will remain Mayor for the municipal year ending Tuesday, 10th May, 2016.
