Tynwald fair field charges imposed

by isleofman.com 31st March 2015

The year’s Tynwald Day fair may be an expensive one for local businesses – as organisers charge for plots.
The field behind Tynwald Hill in St John’s holds 136 plots, each measuring 10 feet by 10 feet, and have been free of charge in the past.
But this year, charities will get one plot free and a second for ?10, while traders face a ?25 per pitch fee.
Ice cream and drinks sellers face a ?100 bill, while hot food vans will face paying ?200 for the day and an extra ?100 for electricity.
Forms are available from today (31 March) - for yours you can contact Mary Hall on 686613.
