Four Steam Packet crossings cancelled, more under threat

by isleofman.com 30th March 2015

The Steam Packet Company says four sailings have been cancelled – and another six are under threat from the weather.

The Ben-my-Chree won't go out on Monday night, nor will the Manannan on Tuesday morning.

The Ben's scheduled 8.45am sailing on Tuesday morning is under threat, with the ship’s master expected to make a decision on that voyage by 7am.

Passengers are being warned the rest of Tuesday’s sailings are at risk, with a decision about the Manannan’s 3pm crossing to Liverpool expected to be made at around midday.

The Ben-my-Chree’s 7.45pm sailing to Heysham and her overnight return could also be disrupted – the Steam Packet says it will make a decision on those trips at 5pm on Tuesday.
