Entries open for Sara Killey Memorial Walk

The annual Sara Killey Memorial Walk will start at Peel Fire Station at 8:30am on Sunday 26th April 2015.

The 50 kilometre open road event is organised by the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service. It follows the Parish walk route from Peel to Ramsey, passing Kirk Michael, Ballaugh, Jurby, Andreas, through Sulby and finishing at Ramsey Fire Station.

The Sara Killey Memorial Walk is a perfect pre-race event for anyone planning to enter the Parish Walk in June.

All proceeds from the event go to The Firefighters Charity which provides various types of assistance to serving and retired fire service personnel and their families.

Chief Fire Officer Kevin Groom said:

“The walk is being held for the ninth time this year and continues to be well supported. I look forward to meeting the participants during the day and hope that the community of the Island will also show their support.”

Entry forms and full details can be obtained from the Sara Killey memorial walk website www.sarakilleywalk.co.uk.

Entry fee is ?23 with all proceeds go to the Firefighters Charity.
