Three competitions held at a blustery Blue Point

Ayre Clay Target Club held three competitions at Blue Point at the weekend in blustery conditions.

Saturday’s competition was a 100-target English Skeet Selection shoot.

Joint winners with a score of 95 were Jack Kneen and Stan Cross, with Martin Kneen third on 93.

Sunday’s competitions were the first rounds of the 50-target English Skeet league, sponsored by Penketh-Millar Architectural Design, and the 100-target English Skeet league.

Martin Kneen was the winner of the 50 target competition with a score of 48.

Kevin Oates and Nigel Moffatt were joint second on 46.

Paul Mihailovits won the 100 target competition with a score of 90, Nigel Moffatt was second on 86 with Dave Corlett third on 85.

This weekend’s shoots are:

Saturday afternoon - 100 Universal Trench Selection Shoot, entries close at 12.30pm.

Sunday morning - 100 Universal Trench Selection Shoot, entries close at 10.15am.

Easter Monday morning - 50 English Sporting Handicap, sponsored by Farmer’s Combine of Ramsey.
