Over-60s on the Island have lost their right to free unlimited bus and rail travel from today (Monday).
Under the new rules, holders of a 60+ travel card have to pay half fare during peak time bus services. All other services will remain free.
The changes were announced in November as part of budget cuts to reduce the government's ?5.5m travel subsidy.
It’s a move designed to ensure all economically active passengers contribute.
Chief Minister Allan Bell says he can understand sensitivity around the issue but insists fairness is key.Clip 1
