MLC would have stepped down if voting had gone on

by isleofman.com 30th March 2015
A veteran politician says he was prepared to drop out of the recent protracted rounds of voting for new MLCs.
David Cretney did eventually get through to become an MLC but it took five rounds of voting from his fellow MHKs.
Keys colleague Bill Henderson also got through, although despite nine rounds of ballots two vacancies remain.
Speaking on Present Politics, Mr Cretney said he wouldn't have gone on indefinitely.Clip 1
