Douglas B are through to the Shimmin Wilson Manx Trophy final after an impressive 40-8 victory over Vagabonds B.
They needed to win by 27 points to snatch a place in the end of season final and they did it, surviving a second half revival from Vagabonds.
First half tries from Nathan Knight, Mark Shortland, Jack Fallon and Cal Carine, plus two conversions from Alex Long and one from Shortland, meant that Douglas led comfortably 26-3 at the break.
Vagas’ points came from the boot of Jack Rowlands.
In the second half, Vagas looked to be coming back but breakaway tries from Charlie Henthorn and Carine, both converted by Long, appeared to make the game safe for Douglas.
A late Johnny Beckley try, however, gave Vagas some hope and they spent the last two minutes camped on the Douglas line but were unable to cross.
