Pedestrian receives serious injuries

Police are appealing for witnesses after a pedestrian received serious injuries after being struck by a car travelling up Johnny Wattersons Lane on Friday night.


The pedestrian was admitted to Nobles hospital.


Emergency services stayed at the scene for two and half hours whilst investigation took place.


Police Sergeant 116 Quentin De Backer said, “A thorough investigation will be made into the cause of the collision and I thank the public for their patience whilst this matter was being attended to. I would urge anyone who saw the collision or has any information which they believe may assist the investigation to contact us”.
