KPMG role in Optimal Payments's big money deal

KPMG Isle of Man has been explaining its role in a recent big money deal.
Optimal Payments Plc has acquired rival Skrill Group for just over ?800 million.
Optimal is an Isle of Man-incorporated business listed on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange and is audited by KPMG in the Isle of Man.
The transaction is to be financed through a combination of available cash, committed new debt facilities of €500 million and rights issue proceeds of approximately ?451 million.

KPMG locally acted as reporting accountant in relation to the rights issue and performed due diligence on behalf of the lending banks in respect of the new debt facilities.
