Man accused of murder tells jury about turbulent marriage

by isleofman.com 27th March 2015
Today, at the trial of a man accused of murder, the defendant spoke about his turbulent marriage.
Ian Anderson, who's 46, denies murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg, in late 2013.
Mr Anderson was questioned by defence advocate Dawn Jones, who asked about the months leading up to the incident.
He told the court he was suspicious his wife was having an affair with Mr Roberts - earlier this week the jury was read a number of text messages indicating an intimate relationship existed between Mrs Anderson and Mr Roberts.
They both denied an affair.
Today jurors heard Mr Anderson recall he didn't want anything to do with Mr Roberts and hoped deep down to save the marriage.
The trial continues at Douglas Courthouse on Monday morning.
