Bids invited for grazing land

by isleofman.com 27th March 2015
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture (DEFA) is inviting bids for the use of grazing land at Knockaloe Farm, Patrick.

Two small paddocks – 3.22 acres and 0.75 acres – are vacant following the departure of a tenant and are available for rental until October.

Information packs and application forms can be requested from reception at DEFA, Thie Slieau Whallian, Foxdale Road, St John’s, or by ringing 801263. Sealed bids should be submitted to DEFA by 12 noon on Thursday 9th April.

A DEFA spokesman said: ‘While the Department is considering options for the longer-term future of the farm, there is an opportunity for a short-term rental of these paddocks until October, when the tenancies affecting the rest of the holding expire.

‘Once the Department has clarity on the future of the farm, it will be able to provide more information on the availability of any future tenancies.’
