A man accused of murder has been giving evidence in his defence at his trial at Douglas courthouse.
Ian Anderson, who's 46, denies murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg in late 2013.
Under questioning from his defence advocate Dawn Jones, Mr Anderson told the court he had suspicions his wife was having an affair with Mr Roberts, but she consistently denied this.
Mr Anderson was working in London from Monday to Friday in 2013 and returning to the Isle of Man at weekends.
Feeling suspicious, on one occassion he made an impromptu trip home mid-week on a hunch.
When he arrived at the Castletown house he said he saw two pairs of legs run across the landing when he looked through the letter box.
Mrs Anderson still denied everything.
Mr Anderson said "I was angry about the lies, I was angry about the betrayal".
He recalls Mr Roberts arriving everywhere he and Mrs Anderson went, and it started to get to him.
He also told the jury Mr Roberts owed him more than ?7,000 for work Mr Anderson had done for him in early 2013.
The trial continues at Douglas Courthouse tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock.
