The jury in a murder trial has heard explicit language from a recording made by the accused in 2013.

Forty-six-year-old Ian Anderson denies murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg.

Mr Roberts's body was found at Mr and Mrs Anderson's house in Queen Street, Castletown.

In court yesterday Detective Constable Emily Butler was cross-examined by Dawn Jones for the defence.

Mrs Jones cited a number of text messages, videos and recordings found on the phones seized by police at the crime scene.

Jurors heard an audio recording from Mr Anderson's.

It contained graphic sexual content, and described how he found his wife in bed with another man.

The court also watched more than an hour of CCTV footage from the Bay Hotel in Port Erin where Mr Anderson and Mr Roberts were drinking and talking, just hours before Mr Roberts was found dead.

The trial continues at 10 o'clock this morning at Douglas Courthouse.
