Police scam phonecalls warning

by isleofman.com 25th March 2015
It’s not us, say police, after a spate of scam phonecalls.

Officers say they’ve had reports of cold-callers ringing people to sell advertising space raising money for the Isle of Man Constabulary.

In some cases, people have been asked for bank account details or money – but the police say the callers have nothing to do with them.

They say anyone receiving such a call shouldn’t enter any agreement or pass on any details.
