New bus timetable commences next Monday

Bus Vannin has published its new 2015-16 journey planner and timetable, which will come into operation next Monday (30th March 2015).
 
Copies of the new timetable are being distributed to main stations and the Welcome Centre in Douglas Sea Terminal. Timetables for each service will also be available online shortly.
 
The timetable builds on improvements made in recent years and continues to respond to customer feedback.
 
The 20 minute service to the airport is extended so that buses will operate every 20 minutes from 05:30 Mondays to Saturdays (Sundays from 07:50) until 21:10 every day.
 
There are also service improvements on the Peel-Douglas services, with the 30 minute services extended.
 
Revisions to the summer Sunday services have been made to enhance leisure travel opportunities to Niarbyl and the Round Table (Service 4R from Douglas and 8R between Peel and Port Erin), which have proved popular with walkers.
 
Full details of changes to the current timetable are listed below.
 
South Corridor (Service 1, 1A, 2, 10, 10A, 11, 12, 12A)
•         20 minute service continued for an extra 2 hours from Douglas and an extra 3 hours from Castletown and the airport.
•         All late afternoon and evening journeys from the airport arriving in Douglas between 18:00 and 22:20 operate via the Promenades.
•         Weekday evening 20 minute service also operates Saturdays and Sundays.
•         Service 10/10A extended to commence earlier in the morning and into the late evening and therefore providing the service to Ballachrink (replacing 3/3A/23/23B) and Windermere Drive.
•         17:55 Service 1A from the Noble’s Hospital replaced by 17:45 Service 12 from Lord Street.
•         Evening X1 retimed to 17:37.
•         Daytime Sunday timetable rescheduled for Onchan/Willaston area to reflect the weekday early evening pattern of service provision.
 
Service 3, 3A
•         Extra Mondays to Fridays morning journey from Ramsey to Douglas (07:55 School days / 08:10 Non School days).
•         Extra Saturdays early morning journey from Douglas to Ramsey at 06:40.
•         Revision of Service 3 and 3A evening journeys to regulate Victoria Road service.
•         16:16 Service 3 around Ramsey changed to be school holidays only to start 1640 ex Ramsey and changed to Service 3A (weekdays) to serve Victoria Road at 17:19.
•         19:40 Service 3 operates every evening Mondays to Saturdays.
•         Most evening journeys removed from Ballachrink. (Ballachrink now served by 10A in the evenings).
•         Service X3 to depart at 17:06 from Stand E on Lord Street (not Bottleneck car park).
•         Additional early morning Sunday journeys in both directions.
 
Service 4
•         17:40 ex Lord Street re-timed to 1745.
 
Service 5/5C/6/6A
•         07:37 ex Peel changed to Service 6A to serve The Hope (re-timed to depart at 07:35).
•         20:48 Service 5J from Ramsey operates every evening Mondays to Saturdays and is retimed to depart 20:43.
•         Extra 18:09 departure from Noble’s Hospital to Douglas.
•         Extra Mondays to Saturdays evening journeys to continue 30 minute services
•         between Peel and Douglas until 21:07 from Douglas and 21:40 from Peel.
•         Daytime Sunday service increased to every 30 minutes between Douglas and Peel.
 
Service 8
•         07:30 journey from Ramsey to Castletown withdrawn, replaced on school days with service 4C (with connections from Peel) between Foxdale and Castletown.
•         17:02 Castletown to Peel journey withdrawn.
 
Service 9
•         17:30 journey withdrawn and replaced by Service 26M
 
Service 13
•         13:45 journey retimed to 14:15 to give increased shopping time in Douglas.
 
Service 15
•         Departures to operate 10:20 to 1:420 from the end of TT to the start of MGP.
 
Service 17/18/19/19C/20
•         Services 17B and 18B withdrawn and service to Ballaugh Cronk replaced by changing Service 19 journeys to Service 19C.
•         09:40 Ramsey departure changed from 19 to 19C.
•         Daytime journeys retimed to operate 5 minutes earlier to provide arrival connections with Service 5 to Peel.
 
Service 21
•         Re-scheduled between 17:00 and 18:00 to coincide with South corridor departures.
•         Afternoon Service 21A rescheduled to Service 21 – Ballaughton Manor Hill covered by Service 26B.
•         Mondays to Saturdays daytime departures from Lord Street between 08:30 and 16:30 changed to serve the IOM Business Park instead of Meadow Crescent roundabout (numbered 21B).
•         Saturday Service 21A journeys altered to mirror Service 21 to Meadow Crescent roundabout and then via Saddle Road to Ballaughton Manor Hill.
•         Sunday services to Noble’s Hospital reduced (daytime hourly frequency on Service 5) and hospital journeys renumbered to Service 21H.
 
Service 22/26/27 (and Willaston provision)
•         17:00 Service 26 terminates at Lord Street at 17:14.
•         New afternoon Service 26B at 1737 to serve Ballabrooie, Ballaughton and Strang.
•         Evening and Sunday service to Willaston rescheduled due to changes to South corridor timetables.
 
Service 23/23B
•         All journeys withdrawn.
•         Morning journeys replaced by earlier commencement of Service 10/10A.
•         17:30 journey replaced by Service 26B to Ballabrooie and continued Service 10A to Ballachrink Windermere Drive. Victoria Road served by additional journeys on services 22 and 25 and additional 3A services.
 
Service 28
•         Rescheduled by 30 minutes to provide a more regular service between Port Erin and Port St Mary during late morning and early afternoon.  Daytime hourly service.
 
General
•         Service 50 (West Coast to Queen Elizabeth II High School) withdrawn.  Alternative journeys provide by Services 5C/6C and 51.
•         Revised Summer Sunday timetable to provide additional leisure travel opportunities to Niarbyl and the Round Table.
