DoI cuts went 'too far, too quickly'

by isleofman.com 23rd March 2015
The Council of Ministers went 'too far, too quickly' with the budget cuts it imposed on the Department of Infrsastructure.
That from the department's minister, Phil Gawne, who was speaking live on Talking Heads this lunchtime.
The department has attempted to introduce a number of measures which have proved unpopular, as a result of the cuts.
These have included trying to charge Douglas residents for parking permits, new charges for parking at the airport, and reintroducing fares on school buses.
Mr Gawne says CoMin, himself included, probably went for too much in one go:Clip 1
