Dog treated after Kirk Michael kitchen fire

Firefighters from Kirk Michael and Peel were called to a house in the West this afternoon (MONDAY) when fire broke out in its kitchen.

The blaze, at Broogh Wyllin in Kirk Michael, was reported shortly after 1.15pm and staff from the fire and rescue service discovered it had burnt itself out.

It caused damage to the kitchen, and the cause of the fire has yet to be identified.

Although nobody was injured, a dog was given oxygen therapy and treated by a vet for smoke inhalation.
