The staff at the Family Library are going to be busy bunnies over the Easter holidays, with a huge range of activities lined up.
Everything from workshops to make pop-up books to visiting giant rabbits should ensure that children and their families have no shortage of things to do.
Librarian in charge Mary Cousins said: ‘I think this might be our busiest Easter holiday ever – we are really egg-cited about it!’
The month of March has seen a display on the wonders of pop-up books, which continues until April 4.
There are plenty of pop-up related activities lined up for the holiday period. March 28 sees the regular Sticky Fingers craft slot concentrate on bunny pop-ups, from 10.30am-midday. Participation is ?2. In the afternoon, from 2pm-3.30pm, there is a Make a Pop-up Book craft session, costing ?5.
April 7 sees a Pop-up Poppies workshop from 2pm-4pm (?3). On April 11, there is a Pop-up Flowers craft session from 2pm-3.30pm (?5).
There are plenty of other activities taking place too.
March 31: Snake Finger Puppets, 2pm (?2).
April 1: Chicken and Egg craft day (?3).
April 2: Easter magnet craft drop in (50p) and Easter egg hunt drop in.
April 7: Cake decorating, 11am-2.30pm (?2). Cone Head animal craft, 2pm-4pm (?2.50).
April 8: Visit by Dolittles animal assisted healing organisation, including giant rabbits Robbie and Mr Bumble. 11am (?3).
April 9: Funny Face craft, 3pm-4pm (?2).
April 10: Animal Wobblehead door hanger craft drop-in (?2). Cake bring and buy sale. Help raise funds for the library by donating cakes for the sale – and buying some others for yourself!
April 11: Monster Mouth Sticky Fingers, 10.30am-midday (?2).
