The Budget and Beyond.

That’s the title of a public meeting this evening (Monday) in which the Island’s Treasury Minister will take questions from the audience.
'A Fair and Balanced Vision for the Future' was the subtext for last month’s Manx Budget and tonight’s gathering will hear from Eddie Teare before the public have the chance to discuss issues of interest.
Since the budget, doubt has been cast on the continued use of reserves, the challenge of funding public sector pensions and future taxation strategy.
The public meeting, at the Manx Legion Club in Market Hill in Douglas, starts at 7.30pm and is the first of a short series of events, organised by the Positive Action Group, called 'Meet the Minister'.
