Appeal after Manx Loaghtan ewe and lambs killed

by isleofman.com 23rd March 2015

Between the hours of 8:30am and 1:00pm on Friday 20th March a Manx Loaghtan Ewe that was due to lamb has been attacked and killed by what is suspected to be a dog on a farm in the Little Mill Road area of Onchan. The two unborn lambs did not survive. The farmer and his family are deeply saddened by the loss.

PC Kirsty BOWLEY from Lord Street Police Station asks for any information from members of the public who may have been walking their dogs in the area at that time or who may have seen dog walkers in the area, to get in contact on 631212.

It is extremely important that dog walkers are responsible when taking their dogs in areas near to farmlands and are reminded to keep them under control at all times to prevent such incidents occurring.
