Marown seal promotion

by isleofman.com 21st March 2015
Marown are back in the top flight.

They clinched promotion on Saturday with a 3-1 home win over western neighbours Foxdale.

Stuart Morris (two) and a Kevin Druggan penalty settled the outcome and set the celebrations in full swing.

The JCK Division Two title remains up for grabs and Ramsey Youth Centre remain in the hunt but had to come from behind before emerging with maximum points from battling Douglas and District.

Conrad Kumar fired D&D into an interval lead before Youth Centre turned the match around with Daniel Kinley among their goals.

Dean Kinley was the star as Malew put five past new boys Governor’s Athletic.

He hit four and was joined on the scoresheet by Sam Pemberton in a 5-1 success at Clagh Vane.

Liam Crawley and Alex Crawley grabbed the goals as Castletown sealed back-to-back away league wins with a 2-1 triumph at Onchan, whose goal was scored by Jacob Jones.
