The Isle of Man was plunged into darkness this morning in the biggest solar eclipse for almost two decades.
Bill Dale captured this striking image in Douglas at around 9.30am. The moon started its passage across the face of the sun at about 7.30am and the darkness peaked at about 9.30am. Although it was overcast in parts of the island many people were able to witness
this spectacular sight.
