by isleofman.com 20th March 2015
The prosecution will produce more evidence today (FRI) at the trial of a man who's accused of killing his wife's lover.
Forty-six-year-old Ian Anderson denies murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts in late 2013.
Mr Roberts's body was found at Mr and Mrs Anderson's home in Queen Street, Castletown.
Consultant Pathologist Dr William Lawler was called to the witness box by the prosecution yesterday.
Dr Lawler explained Neil Roberts's injuries to the jury.
He told the court Mr Roberts had 23 fractured ribs, almost every bone in his face was broken and had major abdominal injuries.
Dr Lawler told Deemster Montgomerie it was most likely the abdominal injuries that killed him.
He also explained that Mr Roberts would have been alive when he sustained the injuries.
The trial continues at 10 o'clock this morning.
