Fraud and money laundering investigations continue

by isleofman.com 18th March 2015

Officers from the Isle of Man Constabulary Financial Investigation Team have today executed six warrants at addresses in Douglas and Onchan.

They are in connection with an ongoing investigation into multiple fraud and money laundering offences.

The police say a number of these searches are still ongoing, taking considerable time to complete.

Officers from the Island's force, supported by HMRC and the NCA, are continuing their searches through into Thursday.

Inspector Derek Flint says as such, there will be continued police activity in the areas of Hill Street in Douglas and Manor Park in Onchan.

In total, 13 warrants have been executed and seven people have been arrested across the UK, Guernsey and the Isle of Man as part of the investigation.

Inspector Flint says significant amounts of cash and business records have been seized and will be subject to further investigation.
