The trial of a Castletown man accused of murder continues this morning (Tues).
Forty-six-year-old Ian Anderson from Queen Street denies murdering 60-year-old Neil Roberts from Ballabeg, late in 2013.
Yesterday (Mon) a new jury was sworn in and Mrs Linda Watts opened for the prosecution.
The trial started at the beginning of March but was halted due to a change in circumstances and the jury was dismissed by Deemster Alistair Montgomerie.
Yesterday a fresh 12-person jury was sworn in made up of eight women and four men.
In the prosecution's opening address they heard medical evidence from Consultant Pathologist William Lawler.
Mrs Watts described how Mr Robert's suffered 40 external injuries as a result of sustained kicking and punching.
The trial resumes at 10 o'clock when the jury are to go on a number of site visits, including the crime scene. The first piece of evidence is expected to be brought forward later in the day.
