Two LegCo seats still empty

by isleofman.com 16th March 2015

Fresh nominations are now being invited after members of the House of Keys failed to fill the remaining two seats in the upper chamber.

A further sitting of the Keys will be held after the ninth secret ballot today did not return a result.

There will be by-elections in Douglas after Bill Henderson and David Cretney (pictured) were elected MLCs by their colleagues in the Keys. Candidates who failed to gather the requisite 13 votes were outgoing MLC Phil Braidwood, advocates Paul Beckett and
Christopher Kinley, Education Minister Tim Crookall and David Anderson MHK.
