Social inclusion, particularly of older people, was the topic of a British Irish Council meeting in Edinburgh this week.
A new report which aims to help do that was adopted by the council.
During the development of the report, BIC Social Inclusion officials visited all eight of the council's administrations to carry out research.
In the Isle of Man they focused on groups and projects such as Southern Befrienders and Men In Sheds and work by the government, Manx Telecom, Age Isle of Man and Live At Home schemes to better connect isolated people through technology.
Researching your Manx family history can be a very interesting and rewarding hobby. Trace your roots in the Isle of Man with our helpful of guide.
