by isleofman.com 13th March 2015
Local law firm and fiduciary group, Appleby, won an award for ‘Best Thought Leadership’ presented by a leading Forum for Managing Partners on Wednesday night (11th March 2015).

The Managing Partners Forum Awards are judged by a global panel of senior management consultants and recognise firms across the professions that have been judged as being best managed in several categories.

Simon Hall (Business Intelligence and Strategy Manager), based in Appleby's Isle of Man office and Sarah Stone (Global Head of Marketing Communications), based in the firm's Jersey office,  designed and implemented the Appleby Thought Leadership Programme. Simon and Sarah accepted the award at a special ceremony held in London, attended by hundreds of Senior Partners and Professionals from across the legal world.

Helen Pitchford, Director of Marketing, said: “This programme has delivered a significant return to Appleby, not only in the amount of press coverage, but more subtly it has repositioned us as being a thought-leading, go-to firm for the latest thinking about offshore topics. It is fantastic that it has been recognised in this way and testament to the hard work, talent and insight of the team members involved in its inception and implementation.”

Appleby was chosen from a shortlist of seven other firms. In making the award, the Judges said: "the Appleby management team stood out as helping the firm's topic experts to distill and communicate ideas that generate measurable business advantage."

Appleby has published a number of thought leadership reports since 2012 including Offshore-i, CLO Insider, On The Register and Wealth Structuring 2020.
