Wheelie good fun promised

by isleofman.com 13th March 2015

Entries are now being accepted for the 2015 Douglas Carnival which is being held on Saturday July 18.

One of last year's highlights was the wheelie bin race and there are 20 new wheeled chariots available.

Douglas Councillor John Skinner said: 'Last year’s Douglas Carnival – revived after many years – was a great success, despite the disappointing weather, and it set the tone for what is now to be an annual event. Much of that success last year was down to the
tremendous sense of community spirit the carnival engendered, not only among individuals and volunteer groups, but also the business and retail sectors, all underpinned by the tireless work of Council officers and staff.'
