Cyber security highlighted at seminar

by isleofman.com 12th March 2015
Island enterprises are being offered advice on how to counter the threat of cyber attack at an event this evening (12 March).
The plundering of secure electronic data is a hazard for all types of organisations - from multi national corporates and large public bodies to small firms and even charities.
Delegates at tonight's Cyber Security seminar at Mount Murray golf Club will hear an expert panel describe how attacks can cause huge damage to a firm's reputation and destroy customer confidence.
An expert panel will offer solutions - driving home the message cyber security is a big issue for technical teams and the board room.
The event is organised by Island-based Webtech and the Manx ICT Association.
Webtech's managing director Chris Davis says all organisations holding data should assume someone, somewhere wants to get hold of it:
The seminar starts at 5pm at Mount Murray golf club.
