Kennaugh missing from Sky line-up

by isleofman.com 11th March 2015
It appears Team Sky have shuffled the pack for the Tirreno-Adriatico following the recent withdrawal of star rider Chris Froome due to a chest infection.
Manx team-mate Peter Kennaugh was included in the original Sky line-up but is not on today's start list for the 7-day race in Italy.
The 50th edition of the Tirreno-Adriatico starts today with a short 5.7km Individual Time Trial in place of the longer team test which has been abandoned after recent strong winds flattened lots of pine trees on the route.
Mark Cavendish is included in the Etixx-QuickStep squad and will try to shake off a virus he picked up on a weekend trip to South Africa with the aim of stage sprint victories.
However, the Manx Missile will not be facing arch-rival Marcel Kittel who has withdrawn from the event.
