Policy Minister wants teamwork

by isleofman.com 10th March 2015

It wasn't exactly a 'top ten' but new Policy and Reform Minister John Shimmin has outlined his priorities for the year ahead.

He was asked in the House of Keys today what his top ten policies and top ten reforms are.

Mr Shimmin said: 'I will be seeking to build on the good work already started by my predecessor the honourable member for Douglas East, Mr Robertshaw. I can say that it is my intention to concentrate on team work and delivery during the remainder of this administration.'

He listed six priorities: developing and implementing the digital strategy, changing the culture across government to remove the barriers to change and reform, making government more efficient and more effective, supporting Treasury's plans for welfare reform, as well as supporting the health strategy for the future and criminal justice reform.
