Douglas picked up a bonus point win at Port-e-Chee beating Manchester 32-11 in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.
The Manx side led 15-5 at half-time after Lance Wyllie and Bryn Snellgrove crossed for tries, with Snellgrove picking up two.
Ben Webb touched down for the bonus point in the second half and late tries from Declan Horrox and Craig McGee gave a touch of gloss to the scoreboard.
Since winning on January 10 at Prenton, Vagabonds’ away form has suffered and their poor run on the road continued when they lost 39-19 away at Ashton on Mersey in Division Two.
They now need to regroup ahead of next Saturday’s Manx Cup semi final against Southern Nomads.
Division Three leaders Ramsey lost 37-35 at Oxton Parkonians but it wasn’t all doom and gloom for the northerners.
Peter Richardson ran in two tries for Ramsey with additional scores coming from Rory Nicholson and Mark Oldfield.
Fifteen points from the boot of stand-off Scott Kneale ensured Ramsey finished within seven and secured two bonus points in their quest for the title.
Their lead has been cut to six points with three games remaining.
