Electricity and water bills set to rise from April 1

by isleofman.com 5th March 2015

The Manx Utilities Authority has announced overall bills for the upcoming year should increase by around three pounds a month for the average consumer.
Coming into effect from April 1, electricity and water charge increases work out as two pounds a month and a one-pound increase to the water rate for an average rateable value.
It'll also be the first time the new sewerage rate is implemented since it was approved by Tynwald in January.
The rate of 61.29p in the pound has replaced the very unpopular "toilet tax".
