ACSP seminar fully booked; repeat session arranged for March 24

The Association of Corporate Service Providers has arranged a repeat session on Tuesday March 24th of the March 20th Isle of Man and UK tax update seminar which is now fully booked.

Sponsored by Dougherty Quinn the seminar, which will also include a FATCA/CRS update,  will be with Equiom tax director Philip Dearden and SMP Partners’ Claire Mulhern.

A chartered accountant and member of the Institute of Taxation Mr Dearden, a former ACSP and Isle of Man Society of Chartered Accountants chairman, specialises in UK offshore areas of taxation, notably residence, domicile and non-resident trust issues, and is currently involved in the implementation of FATCA.

Ms Mulhern is a member of the Institute of Taxation and recently moved to the private sector after almost 10 years with the income tax division of the Isle of Man government. She was responsible for co-ordinating the drafting and publication of the FATCA/IGA guidance notes produced jointly between the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey and adopted by a number of other jurisdictions.

The seminar will be at the Upper Hall, Loch Promenade Church, Douglas, with registration from 12noon for a prompt 12.30pm start. Subject to the number of questions and contributions from the audience the event is expected to finish around 1.30pm.
